The reporter learned today (4th) from the Beijing Institute of Quantum Information Science that my country's scientific research team has completed the module-level verification of the satellite-to-ground quantum direct communication system for the first time, marking that my country's satellite-to-ground quantum direct communication technology has officially entered the stage of building an integrated space-ground-space quantum direct communication network.

It is understood that this verification is to carry the quantum direct communication laser module and the phase coding module on the Yuanxingzhe-1 verification rocket of Jianyuan Technology at 4:40 on May 29, 2025, and then complete multiple stages including successful launch, recovery at sea, and return to the factory for inspection. The experimental module successfully exited the cabin, completed relevant inspections, and everything is normal.
The two modules carried this time are key components of the satellite-to-ground quantum direct communication system, independently developed by the quantum direct communication team of Long Guilu, vice president of the Beijing Institute of Quantum Information Science and professor of Tsinghua University. It is the original result of the team's three-year research.

According to the industry, quantum direct communication has now moved from the laboratory to practical application. In the future, quantum direct communication networks will play a role in government affairs, public affairs, financial security, national defense, infrastructure and other fields that require high security, and will gradually penetrate into civilian scenarios. In the future, personal electronic accounts and smart home data will be protected at the quantum level. In the fields of government affairs, finance, telecommunications, energy and other fields with high security requirements, a quantum-enhanced secure communication system will be built to promote the information security industry into a new era of "quantum +".
