Tao Qing introduced that in the first half of this year, my country's equipment manufacturing industry continued its good growth momentum, accounting for 35.5% of the total industrial added value above designated size, giving full play to the role of a "stabilizer" of industrial development and showing a development trend of "increase in both quantity and quality, and towards excellence and innovation".
In the first half of the year, automobile production and sales reached 15.621 million and 15.653 million respectively, up 12.5% and 11.4% year-on-year respectively. Among them, new energy vehicle production and sales reached 6.968 million and 6.937 million respectively, up 41.4% and 40.3% year-on-year respectively, with new car sales accounting for 44.3%, and cumulative exports reaching 1.06 million, up 75.2% year-on-year.
Tao Qing said that in the next step, two major actions will be focused on to promote the high-quality development of the equipment manufacturing industry: First, a new round of steady growth actions will be implemented. In the near future, a work plan for steady growth in industries such as machinery, automobiles, and power equipment will be issued to improve the ability to provide high-quality supplies, optimize the industry development environment, and promote the industry to achieve effective quality improvement and reasonable quantity growth. Second, an intelligent and green transformation and upgrading action will be implemented. The implementation plan for the digital transformation of the automotive industry will be issued, and the implementation plan for the digital transformation of the two industries of machinery and power equipment, the outline for the green development of green aviation and shipbuilding industries will be implemented to accelerate the development of intelligent equipment, gradually cultivate intelligent factories, and build smart service scenarios, and continuously improve the digitalization and greening of equipment manufacturing.
