SAIC Motor's Zhiji brand recently launched the Zhiji LS9, aiming to reshape the market landscape of large six-seater SUVs in the 300,000 RMB price range.
It is reported that the new car, as the flagship six-seater SUV of the Zhiji brand, is offered in two versions: the 52 Ultra version with a launch price of 322,800 yuan and the 66 Ultra version with a price of 352,800 yuan. The official statement claims that the car adopts a "Ultra-level across the entire range" configuration strategy, integrating the Lingxi Digital Chassis 3.0, the Stellar Super Range Extender System, and L3-level intelligent driving hardware, achieving several breakthroughs.
In terms of handling, the LS9 features a class-leading 24° intelligent four-wheel steering system with a turning radius of only 4.95 meters. This large six-seater SUV, over 5 meters long, boasts agility comparable to a small car. Combined with a 150mm travel dual-chamber closed air suspension and an intelligent electronically controlled damping system, the vehicle maintains stability during high-speed cornering and on bumpy roads. The industry-first "Comfort Anti-Motion Sickness Mode" reduces motion sickness through comprehensive control, while the Spirit Lizard Vector Four-Wheel Drive System and AI Off-Road Blind Spot Function enhance its off-road capability on unpaved surfaces.

In terms of powertrain, the new car comes standard with an 800V architecture, featuring dual-motor vector four-wheel drive with a maximum output of 390kW and 670N·m, achieving a 0-100km/h acceleration time of under 4 seconds. Its Stellar Super Range Extender technology addresses the pain point of traditional range-extended electric vehicles' "performance degradation when the battery is depleted," maintaining stable output even in extreme environments such as high altitudes and extreme cold. Regarding range, the CLTC boasts a pure electric range of 402km and a combined range of 1508km, with a combined fuel consumption of 2.81L/100km. ERNC 2.0 active noise cancellation technology ensures a library-level quietness inside the vehicle when the range extender is operating.

In terms of intelligent driving, the LS9 comes standard with a 520-line ultra-wide-field LiDAR and an NVIDIA Thor chip, supporting L3 level perception capabilities. The IM AD Max driver assistance system, co-developed with Momenta, adds traffic control gesture recognition, while the AEB and AES lateral emergency avoidance systems further enhance active safety. The intelligent cockpit introduces an AI Agent, capable of handling scenarios such as parking payment and food delivery ordering. The highly praised "rainy night mode" has been upgraded to version 2.0, providing clearer visibility in adverse weather conditions.
Furthermore, the interior boasts an 86% usable floor area ratio, with all three rows of seats supporting zero-gravity mode and switchable between chaise lounge and double bed layouts. It's the first vehicle to feature a Danish B&O sound system and 4D mechanical massage seats, offering a massage intensity seven times that of pneumatic massage. Notably, the new vehicle comes with an exclusive luxury outdoor kit that supports 24-hour water supply, meeting cleaning needs after outdoor activities such as cycling and canyoning.

The Zhiji LS9 boasts "Ultra-level across the entire range" as its selling point, offering over 150 top-of-the-line features as standard, including four-wheel steering, lidar, Thor chip, and 4D massage for the driver's seat. During the launch period, a limited-time free upgrade to features such as a B&O sound system, second-row massage seats, intelligent spotlights, and electric running boards is also available.

By integrating three major technology systems—extended range, digital chassis, and intelligent driving—this new vehicle aims to carve out a new niche in a market segment dominated by products like the Li Auto L9 and the Li Auto M9. SAIC stated that the Zhiji LS9, with its "entry-level is peak" product strategy, directly addresses the fierce competition in the 300,000 RMB-level large six-seater SUV market.
